Job Description

My client is an expanding IT Specialist based in Leeds, they are currently seeking a driven and ambitious sales executive to join their public sector team. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual, offering plenty of scope for development. The successful applicant will have experience of working within IT Sales, experience in public sector sales and a driven and ambitious manner.

Duties will include;

Intelligently identify opportunities and prospects within the public sector market to sell products and services. Drive revenue and sales to meet sales targets through active pipeline management, accurate monthly forecasts and closing business. Maintain customer records, details or phone/email activity, pipeline and schedule call backs in the CRM system. Maintain other documents such as account plans and purchase orders. Liaise with technical and pre-sales colleagues as appropriate An average of 30 outbound calls per day is expected to both new and current prospects, ensuring that a pipeline is always big. Work with telemarketing companies to help identify prospects within new geographical and educational sectors. Field based activity will be expected especially to medium and larger prospects. Account management of medium and larger existing customers and ensure that they are up to date with products and services. Work closely with assigned junior sales executive who will generate leads and manage certain accounts within your remit. You will be required to spent 3 days in the office and 2 days in the field.

Essential requirements:

2 -3 years previous sales experience of IT services or solutions. Previous sales experience within the public sector, preferably NHS and Local Government. Strong and confident telephone and business communication skills. Presentations and face to face meeting experience. Time management and organisational skills. Ability to close business whilst achieving a high level of customer satisfaction. Ability to organise and prioritise tasks and opportunities. Familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Use of CRM applications.
