Legal Recoveries / Litigation Executive - Excellent scope to progress

This role is based in Wakefield, WF5

Salary and benefits: Upto £20000 (dependant on experience) + bonus and benefits

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Reporting to the Head of Legal Department this role requires a confident individual who must have a strong background in contentious civil litigation and insolvency (both corporate and individual).

ROLE INFORMATION:

Background

  • €¢ Debt Recovery Background (minimum 2 years experience)

  • €¢ Sound Experience and understanding of; o county court process and procedure o insolvency process and procedure o enforcement of county court judgments Skills

  • €¢ Good keyboard, telephone communication and letter writing skills

  • €¢ Ability to work in a pressurised environment

  • €¢ Basic computer literacy and understanding of Word, Excel & Outlook applications.

  • €¢ Good knowledge of legal process for the types of dispute undertaken Tasks

  • €¢ Prioritise daily post

  • €¢ Action post on same day or in exceptional circumstances next day basis

  • €¢ Run workbox when logging on to the system in the morning

  • €¢ Ensure at all times that any key or critical dates are prioritised and adhered to.

  • €¢ Open any new instructions allocated to them within 1 working day of receipt

  • €¢ Operate case management software to progress status of case to reflect most recent actions

  • €¢ Regularly assess caseload to establish matters requiring review not less than twice each month.

Communications

  • €¢ Ensure outgoing post is signed and passed to team manager or deputy for review before dispatch same day.

  • €¢ Change voicemail on a daily basis with a greeting in an enthusiastic tone which follows the prescribed format

  • €¢ Check voicemail for any messages left throughout the day

  • €¢ Always set "out of office assistant" within outlook when absent from the office for a day or more.

Compliance

  • €¢ Comply at all times with any agreed Service Level Agreements.

  • €¢ Ensures their work space is always left at the end of the day in a neat and tidy state.

  • €¢ Identify any areas of concern or risk to either client or business immediately as they arise through
